In January 2013 we completed a survey of the historic paint schemes in the front of house of the Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool. Using cross sections of paint samples we identified the early schemes and followed this up by uncovering small areas of original paint. Our report clearly described the process and findings that will be used to inform decorating decisions in the refurbishment project.
